Why We Ride

Entering its 10th year our team has now raised more than $2.3 million for Children's Hospital Colorado since our start in 2005... In 2014, our sponsors and 271 cyclists raised $365,000+ for the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. In 2015, please join us in the fight against childhood cancer.

WoJ Update: $138K & 192 Riders; Deer Creek/High Grade Loop Training Ride Sunday; Only 18 Days Till the Courage Classic

Big wheels keep on turning . . . and those Wheels of Justice legs just keep on burning … as we crank up those hills in out training and rack up the $$ in our fundraising.  Gang, only 18 days to go until the Courage Classic, which means we really need to go that extra mile on fundraising …

FACEBOOK: Have you posted a link to your Courage Classic personal fundraising page on your Facebook page? If not, please give it a try now – because that can be the very best way to reach people.  Also post pictures of your training ride and explain what inspires you to do this… your FB friends (especially the couch potatoes!) will get a real kick out of following your progress and will be excited to support you!

We had an awesome training ride last week from Idaho Springs to Echo Lake.. so happy to be joined by Arlene and Nadine — riders from WoJ Partner Team Jared’s Google-Eyed Warriors, as well as Scott Bauer and Dr. Tom Smith of the CCBD!

We were delighted to find the still-under-construction road up Mt. Evans was accessible by bicycle and 2 of us made it all the way to the top!  If you have a chance to get up there before the cars are allowed back on the road (probably at the end of July), you will be amazed!

Please join us for this week’s training ride!

So how can you help us get the 2015 DECADE OF JUSTICE bandwagon rolling?

Last year, our 270 riders raised more than $365,000 to make a real difference for the kids, families and doctors at the Children’s Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) – bringing our nine-year fundraising total to more than $2.3 millionIn 2015, we aim to blow past the $2.7 million mark by raising $400,000.

2) SEND EMAILS TO YOUR CONTACTS:  This is the “secret” that lies at the core of all of our fundraising. It’s simple but powerful.  You tell your friend (or colleague, client, vendor or neighbor) about the amazing, life-saving work happening at the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders; then explain the personal commitment you’ve made to this cause by training for months to ride 157 miles through the Rockies; and finally ask your friend to share in this crazy, beautiful effort by clicking a link and making a tax-deductible contribution.  When we each make the effort to make as many of these “asks” as possible, we know from experience that a huge ripple of good will is unleashed that translates into millions of dollars to help in the fight against childhood cancer. So please load up those contacts onto your Courage Classic rider page, cast your net wide and hit SEND.  You’ll never know, till you ask!

3) LIKE US AND JOIN US ON FACEBOOK!   Keep up to date with the Wheels of Justice team and spread the word by “liking” us on Facebook!

You can also join our WoJ Facebook Group to coordinate with your teammates on things like training ride meet-ups and travel plans for Copper!/groups/58302100863
